These terms govern your use of aitani, a managed service that helps Japanese local businesses become more visible on AI assistants and local search. By requesting an audit or subscribing to the Managed Plan, you accept these terms.
The service
aitani measures how AI assistants (ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overview) and Google Maps present your business, delivers a report, and — for paying customers — implements improvements on your behalf across sources you control (website, Google Business Profile, listings). Free audits are provided as-is for evaluation; the Managed Plan is a monthly subscription unless a different term is agreed in writing.
No ranking guarantee
aitani does not and cannot guarantee that ChatGPT, Gemini, Google, or any other search or AI system will recommend, rank, or mention your business at any particular position. These systems are operated by third parties and their behaviour changes without notice. We commit to method transparency and to measuring what actually changes, not to any specific outcome.
White-hat principle
We only clean up and align real evidence about your business. We do not create fake reviews, false claims, hidden text, or purchased backlinks. If you ask us to publish something we believe is misleading, unfair or in violation of a platform's terms, we will decline and explain why.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of business facts you provide (hours, address, services, credentials), for holding the rights to any images or text you send us, and for granting the access needed to do the work (Google Business Profile, website admin, etc.). You must not use aitani to promote content that is illegal in Japan.
Fees, cancellation and refunds
The monthly fee for the Managed Plan is set by individual quotation, and the amount we present to you in writing (including by email) before the contract is concluded is the amount that applies. There is no published list price. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and no partial refunds are issued for the current month. First-month money-back guarantee: if you request a refund within 30 days of the first charge, we refund the first monthly fee in full. Setup-work fees and third-party costs are not refundable.
Intellectual property
You own your business content and any content we produce for you as part of the Managed Plan. aitani retains ownership of the platform, the audit methodology, the codebase, and aggregate anonymised metrics used to improve the service.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Japanese law, aitani's aggregate liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid to aitani in the 12 months preceding the claim. aitani is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost customers.
Force majeure
aitani is not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, sustained outages of third-party APIs (OpenAI, Google, DataForSEO), and changes in AI or search platform policies that render a specific tactic impossible.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute in the first instance. If any clause is held unenforceable, the remainder stays in force.
